Senior SEO Data Analyst

Job Description

Scorpion is the leading provider of technology and services helping local businesses thrive. As Senior SEO Data Analyst, you will analyse SEO performance across Scorpion's client portfolio, reporting to the SVP of Product and Optimisation. This role emphasises measurement and strategic insight rather than execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Examine performance data from diverse clients to spot trends and opportunities
- Develop and maintain portfolio-level reporting dashboards and scorecards
- Create benchmarking frameworks comparing performance metrics across industry verticals
- Standardise SEO KPIs across teams for organisational consistency
- Assess SEO strategy effectiveness and product capability impact on outcomes
- Conduct post-launch analyses for product and strategy updates
- Support emerging measurement areas including AI-driven search visibility
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams on data quality
- Present complex data as clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively identify insights that influence product direction and business strategy

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Communications, or related field
- 4+ years in data analytics, digital marketing, or product development
- Experience working with large datasets and translating them into actionable insights
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals across technical, on-page, off-page, and local search
- Intermediate SQL proficiency and data visualisation tools (Tableau or similar)
- Familiarity with Google Analytics GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and BrightLocal
- Python or automation tool experience preferred
