Senior SEO & GEO/AEO Strategist

Job Description

Photoroom, a Y Combinator-backed AI photo editor with 300M+ downloads, seeks an experienced Senior SEO & GEO/AEO Strategist to expand organic visibility across traditional and generative search engines. The role combines technical SEO expertise with emerging AI/LLM ecosystem optimization. Photoroom is profitable, remote-friendly, and has raised Series B funding.

Key Responsibilities:
- Scale global organic search as a core growth channel across emerging AI/LLM ecosystems including Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Mistral
- Develop advanced SEO/AEO strategies combining programmatic, technical, and intent-driven content approaches
- Design structured, machine-readable content for AI-generated summaries and featured snippets
- Partner cross-functionally with content, product, enterprise, and engineering teams
- Build monitoring systems, dashboards, and automation for multi-market performance tracking

Required Qualifications:
- 5-10 years relevant experience in SEO, GEO, or AEO
- Deep expertise in technical SEO, GEO/AEO, and tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Screaming Frog
- Strong grasp of structured data, schema markup, semantic search, and AI crawler optimization
- Data-driven mindset with experiment-focused methodology
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
